It can be so easy to pray without much passion or even thought. It is so imperative that we remain mindful and faithful as we send our requests to the Lord. Consider these words from our incredible teacher and master, Jesus from Matthew 21:21-22:
“Truly I tell you,” Jesus replied, “if you have faith and do not doubt, not only will you do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen. If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask in prayer.” The lesson I am feeling in my heart today. Inspired by the great loss of a local legend, Bernardo Colon aka "Cano." This is the way he treated everyone.
What is troubling you today? It's time to get some rest and let the Lord take some of those burdens off of you. He is listening...go ahead
You may be reading this and wondering how it applies to you. It's not like one can just get hope, am I right? Wrong. Hope is your number one tool against the enemy's power and he knows it. A room full of darkness cannot win against even a small candle.
So how do you get hope? Hope can be found through gratitude, forgiveness, and intentional, unconditional, love. You cannot do this without some discipline. It is up to you to make these small, continuous, choices and hope will follow. As I sat on the bus this morning, headed toward downtown St. Paul, I heard a young girl weeping and I could tell she was hurting unbearably. It absolutely tore my heart up. I just pray that the Lord brings her to a place of reliance on him so she may feel joy again.
