Can Anybody be Forgiven from Sin?

It is natural for a person to explore their own life and wonder if they are "good enough." In fact, some people become very disturbed by asking themselves this question and sometimes spend their whole lives running from religion because of it. The idea of just being a good person and hoping everything will work out in the end is a much more comforting thought, however, the real answer is even more comforting than that.
Let me answer the question of, "Can anybody be forgiven from Sin?" with a resounding YES! Let's explore the idea of sin and what it really is, along with its ramifications so you know how to properly address it.
What is Sin?
First of all, know that sin is natural. Everybody does it...ALL the time. Most of the time people sin without even knowing it. So what exactly is a sin? In it's simplest form, it is a violation of a rule set by God. But even more important is knowing why there is a rule in the first place. God puts rules in place to prevent us from physical, emotional, and spiritual death. He is a loving father who wants us to follow his rules so we can be happy and live a life of joy! Put simply, sin is just an action that draws us away from God and cause damage.
What I find extremely interesting is that sometimes the bible warns us of things that are just now being understood by science. For instance, thousands of years ago, the bible warned us not to eat pork. Today's science is showing that pork causes a plethora of diseases, viruses, and health problems. I recently watched a video that showed when a can of coke is poured on a pork chop, little worms will start crawling out of it. I verified this by watching many different experiments being conducted online.
How Does A Person Get Forgiven?
The simple answer is, just ask and repent (feel or express sincere regret or remorse about one's wrongdoing or sin) through prayer. Your sins are not too great for the Lord to forgive.
Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord. -Acts 3:19
Don't Let Sin Get the Best of You
One of Satan's most effective tools is convicting you of your past sins that you've already been forgiven for. He will creep in and start making you feel shame and guilt that is completely unwarranted. His goal is to make you give up so you go back to your old sins since you feel like you can't get past them. Satan wants to destroy you, so don't dwell on your past sins and move on! It is much better to focus on the blessings of God once the sin has been addressed.
If sin is standing in your way of developing a relationship with God, you can rest assured that the Lord wants you to come to him with all the sins you have. The Lord died on the cross so you could be saved from sin. He paid the ultimate price so you could be forgiven whenever you ask for it.
"Christ died for sins once and for all, a good man on behalf of sinners, in order to lead you to God. He was put to death physically, but made alive spiritually" -1 Peter 3:18
